My friend has challenged me to a 2-week workout. No, my focus is not to shrink a size in 14 days; however, seeing how much is lost, be it in pounds, inches, or body-fat percentage will be interesting. Today is day 7, and it has been a challenge, though more of the will than what I am physically capable of. On day 3, I was sore, particularly my left hamstring muscles, and I did not feel like walking. B talked me into it, though, and I'm so glad! The walking greatly helped loosen the muscles. Day 4 was more of the same, except that I had other events during the day that made me stressed out and emotionally tired on top of being sore, so I really didn't want to do anything. Again, B pushed, and I followed. And again, so glad I did! After that point, I was over the hump that is inevitable when starting something new and strenuous. Since then, I noticed that I have been making the workouts a priority during the day instead of tv or whatnot, especially since I saw how little time they actually take.
The body roll is the hardest for me. I have to give myself an oomph to get up, and then at a certain point I fall back on my way down. I have noticed, though, that I am not falling as far or as hard now. I should also mention that thanks to the rainy spring (which is better than a snowy winter!), about half of my walks...if not more...have been indoors with my "Walk Away the Pounds" video, which I simply do the 2-mile walk for. On days where the weather permits, B and I go for a walk around our neighborhood, babies in carriers and J in the stroller. This also makes life lots more interesting because we have some hills around here. ;) At the end of this challenge, I'm thinking about walking the 1/2 mile (?) 7% grade by my house. Ok, maybe after another few weeks of training. ;)
I'm feeling good, though!
