Emotions and Spinach

I have found, particularly lately, that my emotions dictate how healthy my daily habits are. I had a rough day the other day. In that time, I moved very little and I ate very little; what was ingested was not great. The next day, however, I was feeling much better after a good night's rest and some prayer, and I noticed that not only did my habits change, but so did my cravings. I missed my green smoothie. I did not really want my regular bowl of ice cream. And when I realized my spinach had gone bad, I was actually upset about it, and this coming from someone who has never liked any form of spinach in her life!

I have started to make myself green smoothies (at the moment consisting of blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, a banana, V8 Original juice, spinach, frozen plain yogurt, some honey for sweetening, and some flax seed meal and almonds for good measure). Yummy! My other big staple lately has been grilled chicken wraps, including even more spinach. Altogether, I probably get 1.5-2 cups of spinach a day, which is phenomenal, especially for me! With the increased amount of almost daily fresh fruits and greens, I have noticed one thing in particular--it takes my hair almost twice as long to get oily looking! Surprisingly enough, I found my wrap and smoothie less satisfying without the spinach.
