Health

About two years ago I went to and graduated from school to be a massage therapist. The course work as well as the professors' stories, tips, and personal ideals taught me a lot about health and wellness, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. Being pregnant with my first child for most of school put a damper on my beginning any fitness routines besides walking or anything prenatal, took all energy I had thus making regular massage practice or job virtually impossible, and flat out made me feel like I lost so many of the valuable lessons I learned.

Fast-forward to now, when I am living in Germany (hence the title of "gesundheit" meaning "health") and my being pregnant with baby number two, and I am starting to see many things that I could do differently. For instance, during labor last time, the IV was the worst part for me simply because I was very bad at drinking water, so it was difficult for the nurses to find (and keep) a vein. I am now still horrible at drinking the proper amount of water (or any liquids, for that matter). I usually drink four to twelve ounces of something during meals and then chug a cup of water at night when I take my prenatal vitamins, but that is it.

This blog is here so I can track not only my health habits and how they change, but also my thoughts/ideas on the topic, and how I am feeling about my progress.
